Appearance: The doctor is a fairly tall human, just above two meters in height. He is, however, a bit overweight. How overweight? Let’s just say that it matches his 300IQ. His weight is mainly concentrated in his torso, though; his arms and legs are quite slender in comparison. His head is round and bald, but his facial hair more than makes up for the discrepancy. He sports an outrageously large brown mustache, a pair of dark pince-nez sunglasses that cover his cold blue eyes, and (more often than not) a maniacal grin. He also wears an elaborate yet comfortable red tailcoat, complete with a turtleneck collar and fanciful gold buttons. It is quite clear from looking at him that he is very fastidious and well-groomed.
Personality: On an ordinary day, speaking with ordinary people, Eggman can be very charismatic, maybe even charming. He’s a clever, calculating individual who likes to play things according to plan. However, if a sudden turn for the unexpected occurs, Eggman’s charisma disappears almost completely, replaced by total immaturity. Believing himself to be the superior intellect to most, he refuses to believe that his “flawless” plans could possibly be wrong, throwing childish tantrums until his obstacles have been cleared and everything can go back to his grand scheme. Though Sonic is his main obstacle, he tends to treat the hedgehog more as a rival than anything else. Though he may not admit it out loud, deep down Eggman respects the hedgehog.
Abilities/Strengths: As mentioned earlier, Dr. Eggman is a self-proclaimed scientific genius with a 300 IQ. As such, he’s a brilliant mechanical engineer, capable of creating entire legions of robotic minions to do his bidding and ensure the creation of the Eggman Empire, his lifelong dream. When his minions can’t do the job properly, however, Eggman doesn’t hesitate to jump into the thick of battle, piloting an array of highly advanced battlemechs to defeat his foes. Eggman is cunning and charismatic.
Weaknesses: Aside from Eggman’s obvious physical limitations, Eggman’s main weakness is his arrogance. Quite often in his planning, he’ll become so wrapped up in what he’s doing that he’ll believe that he is right, and nobody else. When plans begin to deviate from the mental picture of what he’s come to expect, he may end up losing his cool, refusing to admit that he’s wrong. Oftentimes, this will lead to his own self-destruction.
Notable Possessions: One White Chaos Emerald, a mysterious gem of unspeakable power.

History:
Nobody quite knows where he came from, or how he came to be, but for as long as anyone can remember, the mad scientist known as Doctor Eggman has been hatching countless schemes to dominate the world. His initial motives were simple enough: take control of nature by turning them into flawless machines, using technology to rule over the world and create a new empire… the Eggman Empire. He set up a base of operations in the Scrap Brain Zone and began his master scheme.

For a while, it appeared as though his plans would come to fruition… until a fateful encounter in the Green Hill Zone changed everything. A blue hedgehog by the name of Sonic had appeared on the scene, ready to battle Eggman to save his friends. The doctor had figured that ending this hedgehog’s life would be simple… but he thought wrong. Sonic defeated him in battle that day in Green Hill. Disgruntled and covered in soot and smog, Eggman returned to Scrap Brain to recover, finding another mech that he was sure would defeat that pesky blue rodent. But to his surprise, nearly every challenge he threw at the hedgehog, Sonic would find some way to speedily sidestep it and defeat him. Eventually Sonic reached Scrap Brain and defeated Eggman one last time, destroying everything the doctor had worked for.

Eggman, angered and discouraged, vowed from that day forward not to let his plans be interrupted by that blue hedgehog again. Since then, he has come up with various schemes of world domination. Most of them involve sophisticated machinery of his design, most notably his creation of a fully-functional space station known as the Death Egg. Some of them involve a more supernatural element, such as trying to awaken a slumbering water God of Destruction. Others are simply manipulative schemes [such as tricking the guardian of Angel Island into thinking that Sonic would attempt to steal the Island’s power source, or starting a racing tournament in order to obtain the Chaos Emeralds from the competitors]. However, for every scheme created, Sonic and his allies have always been there to stop Eggman every step of the way. Still, Doctor Eggman refuses to give up his dream of an ultimate utopia of his design, vowing to one day defeat his archrival and show him the true power of the Eggman Empire.

More recently, Eggman led an all-out attack on Soleanna, the famed City of Water. His goal was to kidnap Soleanna’s monarch, Princess Elise III. A kind, young ruler, she contained a dark secret known as the Flames of Disaster. With its power, Eggman hoped to extend his rule over time itself, making himself the ultimate ruler for eternity. Once again, however, Sonic was there to save the Princess and stop Eggman’s plan. Surprisingly for the both of them, however, they were both played for fools by an enigmatic creature known as Mephiles the Dark, who planned to use Elise’s bond with Sonic against her, releasing the Flames of Disaster. Mephiles dealt a fatal blow to Sonic, killing Eggman’s longtime rival and forcing Elise to release the Flames. Mephiles united with those flames, becoming a new being known as Solaris, in order to twist the boundaries of time and space. Horrified at this turn of events, and of the death of Sonic, Eggman agreed to work with Sonic’s allies to find a way to defeat Solaris and bring Sonic back to life. With their combined efforts, Sonic returned from the dead and was able to defeat Solaris. From there, all became darkness…
